4.5 Data Veu reserves the right to correct pricing or product information where an obvious error has occurred.

4.6 If an incorrect price is displayed and an order has not yet been fulfilled, Data Veu may contact you to confirm whether you wish to proceed at the correct price or cancel the order, subject to applicable law.

5.1 Orders placed through the Website constitute an offer to purchase the selected products or services.

5.2 Data Veu may accept or decline an order at its discretion, subject to applicable South African consumer legislation.

5.3 An order confirmation does not necessarily constitute final acceptance where payment verification, stock confirmation or fraud screening is still required.

5.4 Data Veu may cancel an order where:

  • the product is unavailable;
  • there has been a pricing or listing error;
  • payment cannot be verified;
  • fraudulent activity is suspected;
  • the order cannot reasonably be fulfilled; or
  • circumstances beyond Data Veu’s reasonable control prevent fulfilment.

10.4 Customers are responsible for downloading or transferring their website, databases, emails and other data before cancellation.

10.5 Data Veu is not responsible for loss of data following termination where the customer failed to maintain independent backups.

11.5 Customers are responsible for ensuring that their chosen domain name does not infringe the rights of another person or entity.

12. DOMAIN REGISTRATION INFORMATION AND TRANSFERS

12.1 The person or entity recorded as the domain registrant is responsible for the domain name.

12.2 Customers must provide accurate and current registration information.

12.3 Customers must not provide false or misleading registrant information.

12.4 The registrant generally retains control of the domain subject to the applicable registry and registrar rules.

12.5 Data Veu will not intentionally prevent a lawful domain transfer where the customer has complied with applicable requirements and there is no lawful basis for withholding the transfer.

12.6 Domain transfers may be subject to registrar, registry or administrative requirements.

13. DOMAIN CHANGES, RENEWALS AND EXPIRY

13.1 Customers are responsible for ensuring that domain names are renewed before expiry.

13.2 Data Veu may send renewal reminders as a courtesy.

13.3 Failure to receive a reminder does not remove the customer’s responsibility to renew the domain.

13.4 Once a domain has expired, additional recovery or restoration charges may apply.

13.5 Data Veu cannot guarantee that an expired domain can be recovered.

13.6 Where a customer enters an incorrect domain name during registration, a new domain registration may be required.

14. DOMAIN FEES AND REFUNDS

14.1 Domain registration and renewal fees are generally non-refundable once the registration or renewal has been successfully processed.

14.2 This provision is subject to any statutory consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

14.3 Customers are responsible for checking the spelling and accuracy of a domain before submitting an order.

14.4 Premium domain names may attract additional fees.

18. BACKUPS

18.1 Data Veu may perform backups of hosted services where included in the applicable hosting package.

18.2 Where nightly backups are provided, backups are intended as a recovery measure and are not a guarantee that every file, database or configuration can be restored.

18.3 Data Veu does not guarantee the integrity, availability or completeness of every backup.

18.4 Customers remain responsible for maintaining their own independent backups of important information.

18.5 Data Veu will not be liable for loss of data to the extent permitted by law where the customer failed to maintain reasonable independent backups.
